Supervisor, Corporate Systems
As the Supervisor of the Corporate Systems team, I am ultimately responsible for all aspects of a heterogeneous enterprise network that consists of 45 NetWare, 130 Windows NT/2000, and 28 Unix servers providing all computer-based services to 600 employees at 3 hospitals and 30 various sites. Major technology focuses included integration and full utilization of Novell Directory Services throughout the enterprise and implementation of an enterprise class Storage Area Network.
Responsible for the fiscal planning of a $1.5 million annual budget.
Responsible for workload/project coordination, performance evaluations, and professional mentoring of a 15 person technical support and project implementation team.
Completely redesigned and implemented major infrastructure changes to the corporate NDS, ZEN Works, and GroupWise system architectures to support the rapid expansion of the organization. This project drastically improved system availability and performance resulting in thousands of dollars saved per year.
Project manager for a ZEN Works implementation and corporate desktop operating system upgrade. Authored and enforced policies and procedures ensuring that all desktop applications will be delivered through ZEN Works. This has resulted in a more efficient desktop and application support environment.
Managed project to beta test and implement BorderManager Enterprise Edition v3.5 which consolidated Secure Authentication Services, VPN, Proxy, and Firewall onto one directory enabled platform.
Wrote custom Visual Basic 6.0 applications utilizing the Novell Controls for ActiveX to facilitate move of approximately 2500 user accounts within NDS within a 1 month period

Electronics Technician
Responsible for calibration, repair, and installation of a number of health care related electronics devices.  One such device was an ingestible, excretable, computer controlled thermometer (approximately the size of a large vitamin) that was calibrated in a controlled, clean room environment.  This device was used in field test by the US Army in 1989.  Additional devices included bed monitoring equipment.
